Affordable Electric Wheelchairs Without Cutting Corners
A low price on its own is not a saving if the chair fails in a year and nobody in Australia can fix it. Every model on this page has the same core build as our full range: dual motors, a removable lithium battery rather than a heavy lead-acid pack, a folding aluminium or carbon fibre frame, a joystick controller with speed control, electromagnetic brakes and anti-tip wheels. The difference between $1,199 and $3,000 in our range is mainly frame material, battery size, motor power and features such as recline or adjustable seat height.
What makes these chairs affordable is that we hold stock in our own Perth warehouse and support them ourselves, with spare batteries, chargers, joysticks and tyres on the shelf. That is the part of the price you cannot see on the product page, and it is what separates a value chair from a cheap one.

What You Get Under $2,000
At this price every Easwe chair includes a folding frame, a removable lithium battery with charger, dual motors, a joystick with speed control, a seat belt, electromagnetic brakes and anti-tip wheels, plus a 5-year frame warranty and local spare parts. Within the band, $1,399–$1,499 buys a compact aluminium travel chair, and around $1,799 adds a carbon fibre hybrid frame (C10), automatic folding (F10) or a reclining backrest with headrest (B10, G10).
When It's Worth Spending More
Spend more if the lightest possible lift matters — the Easwe C30 carbon fibre electric wheelchair is the lightest chair we sell at 11.3 kg without the battery. Choose the Easwe C20 if you want up to approximately 40 km from two batteries used together, the L10 if the seat height needs to be set between 40 and 60 cm for tables and transfers, or the S10 if an OT has recommended a standing function. Browse all electric wheelchairs to compare the full range.
What Affects the Price
- Frame material — carbon fibre costs more than aluminium but weighs less.
- Battery size and count — larger or dual batteries add range and cost.
- Motor power — in this range, from dual 150W (F10) to dual 250W (B20, E10, G10).
- Folding mechanism — automatic folding adds a motor and remote.
- Seating — reclining backrests, headrests and adjustable seat height add cost.
Which Budget Electric Wheelchair Is Right for You?
Match the chair to the job it will do most days. These three groups cover almost every buyer under $2,000.
Best Value for Travel and Car Boots
The Easwe D10 lightweight folding power chair at $1,399 weighs approximately 15.8 kg and folds side to side for smaller boots, and the Easwe E10 folding travel chair at $1,499 folds to a compact 36.1 × 54.1 × 85.1 cm. The Easwe B20 at $1,199 is the lowest-priced folding chair we sell, though at 20 kg it is the heaviest lift in this group. If you need the lightest lift, compare our lightweight folding electric wheelchairs.
Best Value for Comfort
The Easwe B10 reclining electric wheelchair with headrest and the Easwe G10 reclining chair with dual batteries, both around $1,799, give a reclining backrest and headrest for all-day sitting. The G10 also reclines to 145°, runs two batteries for up to approximately 40 km and supports up to 136 kg, the highest capacity in the Easwe range. Both are also in our reclining electric wheelchairs collection.
Best Value for Easy Folding
The Easwe F10 automatic folding electric wheelchair at $1,798.95 folds and unfolds at the press of a button on the remote or joystick, so there is no bending or lifting the frame. It suits anyone who folds the chair several times a day, or has limited back or hand strength. The F10 must only be folded when nobody is seated, and it is rated to 100 kg.
Warranty, Support and Spare Parts
The purchase price is only part of the cost of owning an electric wheelchair in Australia. Every Easwe chair carries a 5-year frame warranty against manufacturing defects, with motors, batteries and other components covered under separate warranty periods (see our wheelchair warranty terms). Warranty claims are handled by our Perth team, not an overseas seller. Replacement lithium batteries are held in stock, as are chargers, joysticks, tyres and cushions, so a worn part does not mean a new chair — contact us for current spare-part pricing. Wheelchairs are bulky items shipped with lithium batteries, so they are excluded from our free-shipping offer and delivery is quoted by postcode — see delivery costs for wheelchairs. Perth metro customers can arrange local pick-up from Forrestdale by appointment.
Payment Plans, NDIS and Support at Home
Spread the cost with the payment plan options shown at checkout. Tynor Australia (Australian Healthcare Supplies) is a registered NDIS provider in Perth and prepares itemised quotes for self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed participants under NDIS Assistive Technology, subject to your NDIS plan and approval. Older Australians may be able to access equipment such as a wheelchair through the Support at Home Assistive Technology and Home Modifications scheme, arranged through their provider — use the same quote form.
Are Cheap Electric Wheelchairs Safe? What to Check
An electric wheelchair is a medical device, and a low price should never mean skipping the basics. Before buying any affordable chair — from us or anyone else — check these five things:
- TGA listing. The chair should appear on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods. You can search the ARTG on tga.gov.au by product name or sponsor.
- Battery certification. The lithium battery should carry a UN38.3 test certificate; ask to see it.
- A written warranty from an Australian business you can phone, with the terms published before you buy.
- Local spare parts, especially batteries, chargers and joysticks, so the chair can be repaired rather than replaced.
- A rated capacity above the user's weight, taken from the manufacturer's specifications, and never exceeded.
Ask us for the ARTG entry, battery certification and warranty terms for any chair on this page before you buy. The specifications on each product page are the manufacturer's figures.

Electric Wheelchairs Under $2,000 FAQs
How much does an electric wheelchair cost in Australia?
Electric wheelchairs in Australia typically cost from about $1,200 for a folding aluminium power chair to $3,000 or more for carbon fibre, long-range and specialised models, with standing chairs costing considerably more. Tynor Australia's Easwe range starts at $1,199 and seven models are priced under $2,000.
What is the cheapest electric wheelchair you sell?
The Easwe B20 folding electric wheelchair is our lowest-priced model at $1,198.95. It has a folding aluminium frame, removable 12Ah lithium battery, dual 250W motors, LED lights and a maximum user weight of 113 kg, with the same 5-year frame warranty and local spare-parts support as every other Easwe chair. Check the product page for current stock.
Are cheap electric wheelchairs safe to use?
They can be, if the chair is listed on the TGA's ARTG, the battery has a UN38.3 certificate, the warranty is published and held by an Australian business, spare parts are available locally and the rated capacity is above the user's weight. Ask us for these details for any Easwe chair before you buy.
What is the difference between a $1,500 and a $3,000 electric wheelchair?
At around $1,500 you get a folding aluminium chair with a single lithium battery and dual motors. At around $3,000 you are paying for a lighter full carbon fibre frame, such as the 11.3 kg C30, or a longer-range battery setup, such as the C20's two batteries for up to approximately 40 km. Features such as adjustable seat height or a standing function also add cost.
Can I pay for an electric wheelchair in instalments?
Yes. Payment plan options are available at checkout, with the instalment amounts and terms shown before you confirm the order. Approval is subject to the provider's own criteria. NDIS participants and Support at Home clients can instead request an itemised quote for their plan manager or provider.
Can NDIS or Support at Home cover an electric wheelchair under $2,000?
Possibly, subject to your NDIS plan and approval. Powered wheelchairs usually sit under Assistive Technology and may need an OT assessment. Support at Home clients may be able to access equipment through the Assistive Technology and Home Modifications scheme. Tynor Australia is a registered NDIS provider and prepares itemised quotes for self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed participants, and for Support at Home clients. Request a quote.
Do your prices include GST and delivery?
Prices are shown in AUD and include GST where applicable. Wheelchairs are bulky items shipped with lithium batteries, so they are not covered by free shipping and delivery is quoted by postcode. Perth metro customers can arrange local pick-up from Forrestdale by appointment.
Important note: Electric wheelchairs are assistive devices. Please check with your doctor, occupational therapist or physiotherapist to confirm the model, seat width and weight capacity are suitable for your condition and needs, and always stay within the chair's rated capacity. Prices are in AUD and correct at publication; the product page shows the current price. NDIS and Support at Home funding is subject to your plan and approval.
