Product Description

The Tynor Abdominal Belt (A 03) is an 8"/20cm wide compression belt designed to help support and compress the abdominal muscles during recovery from abdominal surgery, caesarean section, post-delivery, and for the management of umbilical and ventral hernia. Constructed from three panels of extra-strong, highly porous monofilament elastic with heat-resistant rubber, a broad hook-and-loop closure, and flexi nylon splints, it is designed to provide firm, even compression across the full abdominal region while remaining lightweight, breathable, and discreet under everyday clothing. Supplied by Australian Healthcare Supplies, a registered NDIS provider based in Perth, Western Australia.

  • Three-panel even compression — Three panels of monofilament elastic designed to distribute firm compression evenly across the full abdominal region.
  • Breathable for extended wear — Highly porous elastic webbing designed to allow adequate airflow during all-day use.
  • Secure, adjustable fit — Broad hook-and-loop panel designed for controlled compression with quick, easy application and removal.
  • No rolling or buckling — Flexi nylon splints designed to maintain shape and position throughout the day.
  • Discreet under clothing — Thin, lightweight construction designed to remain concealed under everyday clothing and work wear.
  • 8"/20cm width — Designed to provide broad abdominal coverage and even compression across the full abdomen.

May assist in managing discomfort and supporting recovery associated with the following conditions:

  • Post-operative abdominal support following abdominal or laparoscopic surgery
  • Post-caesarean section (C-section) compression and wound support
  • Post-delivery abdominal compression for new mothers
  • Umbilical and ventral hernia support — as directed by a healthcare professional
  • Abdominal muscle weakness, strain, and related backache
  • Core support during rehabilitation
  • Support during coughing, sneezing, or deep breathing post-surgery

Use under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional. NDIS participants should contact us to confirm funding eligibility.

  1. Close all hook-and-loop fasteners before applying.
  2. Wrap the belt around your waist upright — follow the "up inside" label for correct orientation.
  3. Position the lower edge at the base of the abdomen, ensuring full abdominal coverage.
  4. Fasten the hook-and-loop closure to a firm, comfortable compression — snug but not restrictive.
  5. Smooth flat to remove wrinkles. Nylon splints will hold the belt in position.
  6. Adjust compression throughout the day as needed.
  • 1 × Tynor Abdominal Belt A03 — 8"/20cm (size as selected)

  • For hernia use, always seek medical assessment first — do not self-prescribe
  • Consult your doctor before concurrent use with any other medical device
  • Misuse or improper use may reduce effectiveness and lead to adverse effects
  • Follow the instructions in the product box carefully
  • Keep out of reach of children

Can this belt be worn after a C-section?
Yes — commonly recommended following caesarean section to assist compression and wound support. Always follow your surgeon or midwife's specific guidance on timing and wear duration.

What is the difference between the A03 and A01?
The A03 is 8"/20cm wide with three-panel monofilament elastic designed for even compression distribution. The A01 is 9"/23cm wide with a single-panel construction. Confirm with your healthcare professional which is appropriate for your needs.

Can it be used for hernia support?
It may assist external compression for umbilical and ventral hernia as directed by a doctor. Do not use for hernia without medical assessment — confirm with your GP or surgeon first. Not indicated for inguinal hernia.

Best Belt for New Moms

I bought this for my wife and I'm writing this review from her point of view after one month of use. You may feel discomfort for first few days, later you'll get used to it.It supports your back perfectly and it helped it back pain relief. I'm giving 3.5 rating out of 5 for durability. Because after one week a the plastic material is trying to come out of the belt as you can see it in the second photo. And I also suggest anyone buying this item to go for a Bigger size, rather than your normal size.

Comfortable....worth the money..

I ordered rhis product for my wife after her delivery for getting rid of her mummy tummy, and she found this product really comfortable, easy to wear, gives good support to her belly. I am writing this review after 5-6 days and my wife found no issue till now. The only problem she faced is that when she wear it for long time she get sweat around belly and back. Other than that no issues. Material is good. Product was in good condition with hologram sticker on it. Skin friendly material. I ordered one size up than her actual size after reading reviews and it fits her perfectly. Happy with the product. 😊

Ordered for mom, satisfied

Thre product does what it claims for. Delivery was prompt. The material is thin, but quite sturdy n flexible. It is stretchable, i was fussy on oprning that it might not come, but i read online it needs to be tight, otherwise it wont support, so it suits the purpose. There is a spinal support in back, a huge one strip velcro helps it stick firmly, does not open easily. She is happy, hopefully will help her cervical pains.

Uncomfortable & Yet Effective :)

I had bought this product with the Intention of using it as a Tummy Trimmer only.I really don't know if it will reduce my Tummy, but I do know that it reduced my Hunger Pangs "Big Time".I got this delivered today morning (28-July-2015, around 7:34AM - I definitely didn't expect it and was delighted with the delivery part) and wore it the entire day at office. It felt ridiculously uncomfortable because I had put it on tightly, and since I was so self-conscious of the discomfort I was discouraged to do any kind of Binge Eating for whatever be the reason, as I didn't feel hungry at all.I sincerely hope I get to see results :)

Does the job!

I bought the Tummy Trimmer/Ventral Hernia Umbilical Belt 8" for upcoming hernia surgery but also started wearing it intermittently beforehand because I get a sore back from standing 6 hours straight. It was very supportive and made a difference at the end of the day.

Since then I have been wearing it after my hernia surgery and it has been very supportive, and easy to put on and take off.

The only thing I wished was that I had bought two, one a bigger size because still after three days post surgery my stomach is still quite swollen and a big size would have been better.

Thank you for a great, reliable product!

I got too big a size but still noticeable improvement.

I landed in hospital for a year due to medications I was forced to take as well as mRNA vaccines causing acute appendicitis. I had never been sick in my life at all up u til 37 years old and bought up tough so left it for 4-5 days trying to treat it myself thinking it was UTI type thing not even considering my appendix had burst! An ambulance came and took me to hospital with technically not vital signs at the same time I remember it all clearly strangely. They rushed me into emergency surgery where locum doctor put a hole in my bowel. I had other issues and was in ICU for some time. I was pretty out of sorts for a few months with infection and didn’t eat. After a month and half-2months I caught Covid in hospital and coughed so hard my intestines came out of the whole for 6 months or more and while I had a further two surgery to put them back inside I now have three(poss more) very large incisional hernias up my massive belly zip line and high I have left for ages and awaiting further surgery. I have been having some extreme pain and digestive issues etc. got this which is too big and I think ai need to go down two sizes based on size charts. It’s amazing but some feedback would be that the seams dig in and scratch in areas, especially when sitting which is awful and could be put together better. I think many people like myself are wider in one area and not in the other considering it is over hips and waist so the Velcro patch could benefit from maybe an option where you can tighten one of the straps more than other? Also I am not sure if it has stretched a little as it seems to have gotten even looser on the top half than when got it? Another thing is also that some people have lots of hernia in different places, I have a particularly long torso section and many hernias which might not be the norm but I find the width of entire belt not quite sufficient because I have hernia popping out up top at same time as at bottom/whatever squished flesh as well which looks weird and is uncomfortable. I used a few different belts when in hospital(or they tried to get me to but they were absolutely awful, uncomfortable, too hot etc!) and this one is by far superior to anything I have seen or used personally. Very happy I shopped around to find this one and it is for most part as good as my instincts told me. Could use a few tweaks like padding over seams to stop that awful feeling which has actually caused light scabbing and certainly discomfort). Hope this helps with the design, if not still happy to not be in as much pain as I would be in other ways. It’s nice to have a break because it’s much worse than you would think in areas you wouldn’t even consider would be affected!

Dear Chloe,

Thank you for your detailed feedback and for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear the belt has provided noticeable improvement and relief compared to others you’ve tried.

Based on your comments, going down one or two sizes may offer a better fit. Your feedback regarding seams, adjustability, and coverage has been noted and shared with our product team for future improvements.

Please let us know if you’d like assistance with a size exchange or have any questions—we’re happy to help.

Great design and quality construction

I purchased 3 of these products when I recently had a double mastectomy with immediate breast reconstruction. I’ll need to wear them for several months as the hip to hip abdominal wound heals. I was immediately impressed by how comfortable they were to wear, how well they adapting to my body shape and the quality of the manufacturing. Definitely worth the investment!
