Tynor Inguinal Hernia Belt A16 | Hernia Support Australia

The Tynor Inguinal Hernia Belt is a supportive orthosis designed to help provide controlled compression to the inguinal region, assisting in the management of reducible inguinal hernia in men during daily activities, light work, and conservative management under medical supervision. Featuring anatomically shaped ethafoam pads, adjustable pelvic and leg straps, and soft dermophilic materials, it is designed to apply focused, graduated pressure to the inguinal aperture while remaining lightweight, discreet, and suitable for extended daily wear. Available in a single adjustable size that is designed to fit a wide range of waist measurements. Supplied by Australian Healthcare Supplies, a registered NDIS provider based in Perth, Western Australia.
- Anatomic ethafoam pads — Moulded from special grade Ethafoam, the anatomic pads are designed to press the inguinal aperture at the correct angle, assisting focused, graduated pressure on the hernia site for more effective support.
- Single or double-sided use — Two removable compression pads are included, designed to allow use for left-sided, right-sided, or bilateral inguinal hernia. The pad and tension band on the unaffected side can be easily removed for single-sided use.
- Adjustable pelvic and leg straps — Designed to allow controlled, customised pressure and a secure, non-slip fit across a wide range of body sizes — assisting consistent support during daily movement.
- Soft dermophilic materials — Skin-friendly, breathable construction designed to minimise risk of skin rash or allergic reaction, assisting comfort and compliance during extended wear.
- Discreet beige design — Skin-tone colour designed to be worn inconspicuously under clothing throughout the day without being noticeable.
- One size fits most — The adjustable strap system is designed to accommodate a wide range of waist and hip measurements, assisting a personalised fit without the need for multiple sizes.
The Tynor Inguinal Hernia Belt is designed to help provide external compression and support to the inguinal region. It may assist in the conservative management of the following conditions:

- Supportive compression during light daily activities for individuals with inguinal hernia awaiting surgical assessment or management
- Post-operative inguinal hernia support — as directed by a qualified healthcare professional
- Groin muscle strain and soft tissue support in the inguinal region
ⓘ Important: The Tynor Inguinal Hernia Belt is designed for reducible inguinal hernia . It is not indicated for irreducible or strangulated hernia, umbilical hernia, or ventral hernia. Always seek medical assessment before use — do not self-prescribe for hernia management. If the hernia cannot be pushed back in, seek immediate medical attention.
Use under the strict guidance of a qualified healthcare professional. NDIS participants should contact us to confirm funding eligibility.
- Lie down and gently reduce the hernia (push it back into position) before applying the belt — do this only if your doctor has advised it is safe to do so.
- Wrap the belt around the waist and groin area, positioning the compression pad directly over the inguinal hernia site.
- Secure the pelvic waist strap using the hook-and-loop closure to a comfortable, firm compression.
- Pass the leg straps around the inner thigh and fasten to the desired tension — ensure a secure, non-slip fit.
- For single-sided hernia, remove the pad and tension band from the unaffected side.
- Check that movement and circulation feel comfortable. Adjust straps as needed throughout the day.
