1. Lie down and gently reduce the hernia (push it back into position) before applying the belt — do this only if your doctor has advised it is safe to do so.
2. Wrap the belt around the waist and groin area, positioning the compression pad directly over the inguinal hernia site.
3. Secure the pelvic waist strap using the hook-and-loop closure to a comfortable, firm compression.
4. Pass the leg straps around the inner thigh and fasten to the desired tension — ensure a secure, non-slip fit.
5. For single-sided hernia, remove the pad and tension band from the unaffected side.
6. Check that movement and circulation feel comfortable. Adjust straps as needed throughout the day.
