How to Order with Aged Care Funding
Three steps from request to delivery. No payment is needed to request a quote.
Aged Care Funding Explained
Find the program that applies to you.
Support at Home
Support at Home is the Australian Government's in-home aged care program. It started on 1 November 2025 and replaced the Home Care Packages Program and the Short-Term Restorative Care Programme.
The program helps older people stay independent at home with services such as personal care, nursing, allied health and help around the house. Eligibility and the level of funding you receive are decided through an aged care assessment arranged by My Aged Care.
Equipment such as mobility aids is funded separately from your ongoing services budget, through the Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM) scheme described below.
Who can order
Participants, family members, registered supporters, care partners, aged care providers and allied health professionals can all use our order form. The quote and tax invoice are sent to your aged care provider.
Home Care Packages
The Home Care Packages Program was replaced by Support at Home on 1 November 2025. If you were receiving a Home Care Package, you moved to Support at Home automatically and did not need a new assessment.
If you have unspent Home Care Package funds, these are generally used first for equipment before new AT-HM funding is drawn on. Your provider can tell you what is available to you.
Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM) Scheme
The AT-HM scheme gives Support at Home participants dedicated funding for products and equipment, so you do not need to save up funds from your quarterly budget. Funding is allocated in tiers following your assessment.
| Low tier | Under $500 |
|---|---|
| Medium tier | Up to $2,000 |
| High tier | Up to $15,000. Higher amounts may be considered where supported by a health professional's prescription. |
Items that can be funded are set out in the Government's AT-HM list and fall into three groups:
- Low risk — simple products that generally do not need a prescription
- Under advice — products where advice from a health professional is recommended
- Prescribed — more complex items that need assessment and prescription by a qualified health professional, such as an occupational therapist or physiotherapist
A participant contribution may apply, depending on your circumstances. Your provider can explain what applies to you.
Tier amounts and rules are set by the Australian Government and may change. Please check with My Aged Care or your provider for current details. We are not able to confirm whether an item will be funded for you.
Short-Term Pathways
Support at Home also includes short-term support, such as the Restorative Care Pathway, which provides up to 16 weeks of intensive allied health and nursing support to help you regain independence.
If equipment is needed as part of a short-term pathway, your provider or treating health professional can request a quote from us in the same way.
Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
CHSP continues as a separate program for older people with lower-level support needs. The Government has advised it will move into Support at Home no earlier than 1 July 2027.
Equipment under CHSP is arranged through your CHSP provider. We supply CHSP providers and their clients and can quote directly to the provider.
Residential Aged Care
We supply residential aged care homes with mobility aids, orthopaedic supports and rehabilitation products, with trade pricing and account terms available.
Residents and their families can also purchase directly through our website. Please check with the facility first, as some items may already be provided as part of the resident's care.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about ordering with aged care funding.
How do I order through Support at Home?
Complete the order form and choose Support at Home as the funding type. Enter your aged care provider and care partner details and we will send the quote and tax invoice to your provider for approval.
Can I still use my Home Care Package?
The Home Care Packages Program was replaced by Support at Home on 1 November 2025, and existing package funding transferred across automatically. Equipment is now funded through the Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM) scheme.
Do I pay Tynor Australia directly?
For funded orders, we invoice your aged care provider once they approve the quote. If a participant contribution applies, this is arranged between you and your provider. You can also buy any product privately through our website.
Do I need a prescription?
It depends on the item. Simple, low-risk products generally do not need a prescription. More complex items need assessment and prescription by a qualified health professional. You can attach a prescription or therapist's report to the order form.
Can a family member or care partner order for me?
Yes. Family members, registered supporters, care partners and health professionals can complete the order form on a participant's behalf.
Do you supply aged care providers directly?
Yes. We supply Support at Home providers, CHSP providers and residential aged care homes, with purchase order and invoice terms available. Contact us to set up an account.
How do I find out if I am eligible?
Eligibility for government-funded aged care is decided through an aged care assessment. You can apply through My Aged Care online or by calling 1800 200 422.
Can you tell me if my item will be funded?
No. Funding decisions are made by your provider under the program rules, based on your assessed needs. We can provide a written quote and product information to help your provider decide.
