The Tynor Walker Boot Air Long D51 (moon boot) is a foot-and-ankle orthosis providing structured support to the lower leg during periods of recovery and rest. An adjustable pneumatic system lets the fit be tailored around the ankle for comfortable, stable immobilisation, while rigid side supports and a stable, non-slip rocker sole help protect the injury and promote a close-to-natural gait. Its light, breathable construction is designed for comfortable daily wear, even in warm conditions. Supplied by Australian Healthcare Supplies, a registered NDIS provider based in Perth, Western Australia.
- Adjustable pneumatic system inflates around the ankle for a customised, comfortable degree of compression and stable immobilisation.
- Rigid sole and side supports help stabilise the foot and shin and prevent uncontrolled ankle movement.
- Wider, profiled rocker sole promotes a close-to-natural gait; the stable, non-slip base helps increase safety in use.
- Soft internal padding insulates the limb from the structural elements to help prevent abrasion.
- Light, breathable materials allow the skin to breathe and support comfortable wear in hot weather.
- Removable, washable soft insole supports good hygiene of the injured leg.
May assist in managing discomfort associated with the following conditions:
- Fractures of the ankle and foot, and 2nd- and 3rd-degree sprains.
- Post-operative support, including after ligament reconstruction, where advised by a clinician.
- Conditions requiring lateral stabilisation of the ankle to help prevent an injury worsening or recurring.
- Tendon sheath inflammation requiring stiffening, under professional guidance.
- Open the liner by unfastening the straps and removing the front shell. Do not remove the air bulb from the liner.
- While seated, place your leg in the brace and wrap the liner securely around the foot, then the leg.
- Fasten the ankle, foot and calf straps in that order until snug and comfortable.
- Rotate the inflate/deflate valve clockwise and lock. Inflate the air chambers by pressing the air bulb; do not over-inflate.
- Before removing the brace, deflate the air chambers by rotating the valve anticlockwise.
- 1 x Tynor Walker Boot Air Long D51 with integrated pneumatic liner and front shell.
- Product insert.
- The soft insole may be hand-washed in lukewarm water with soap.
- Air-dry unfolded in a shaded place. Do not tumble-dry or iron.
- Ensure the product is completely dry before reuse.
- Patients without sensation should be observed frequently for skin irritation, hot spots and similar signs.
- Always consult your physician or therapist before use, and before making changes to the brace. This product is to be used under the supervision of a medical professional.
- Inspect the boot before each use. Do not use if any part is broken, torn, cut, frayed, or if buckles or fasteners do not hold securely.
- Misuse or improper use of the device can lead to adverse effects and reduced effectiveness.
- Follow the instructions on the box carefully. Keep out of reach of children.

What sizes are available?
The D51 is available in Child, Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large.
How does the air system work?
An integrated air bulb inflates chambers around the ankle for a customised, comfortable fit; a valve deflates them before removal.
How is it different from the standard walker boot?
The Air version adds an adjustable pneumatic system for a more tailored fit and cushioning compared with a standard structured walker boot.
Can it be worn on either foot?
Yes. The boot is designed to be used on either the left or right foot.
