Tynor AHS manufactures traction kits using quality materials. Our traction kits are designed for durability and to help provide support during your rehabilitation, as directed by your healthcare professional.
Traction, as used in medicine, is the process of slowly and gently applying a pulling force to part of the body. Ropes, pulleys, and weights are commonly used. These components are designed to apply a controlled force to the tissues close to the affected region.
How do traction kits work?
Depending on which part of the body is affected, several types of traction kits may be used. A traction kit works by applying a drawing force generated by the weight attached to it. Cervical traction kits, for instance, are designed to draw the head gently away from the neck to apply a controlled stretch. Traction should only be used under the direction of a qualified healthcare professional, who will set the weight, duration and frequency appropriate for you.
ⓘ Important: Traction is not suitable for everyone. Please check with your doctor, physiotherapist, or healthcare professional to confirm this product is suitable for your condition, and to confirm the correct weight, duration and sizing before use.
