Product Description

The Tynor Knee Immobiliser D28 is a full-length, wrap-around brace designed to support and immobilise the knee while holding it in a comfortable, slightly flexed functional position. Anatomical aluminium splints and broad hook-and-loop straps are designed to help restrict knee movement during rest and structured recovery, while the three-layer cushioned fabric is made for breathable, comfortable wear over longer periods. The open wrap-around design makes the brace easy to apply and remove, and it can be worn on either the left or right knee. Supplied by Australian Healthcare Supplies, a registered NDIS provider based in Perth, Western Australia.

  • Anatomical aluminium splints on the lateral and posterior sides, designed to support firm immobilisation.
  • High-strength splints designed to resist bending and deformation over extended wear.
  • Pre-shaped posterior splint that holds the knee in approximately 15° of flexion, a natural functional position.
  • Broad over-the-patella strap for added coverage and a secure hold.
  • Three-layer laminated PU foam fabric for breathable, comfortable cushioning.
  • Open wrap-around design for easy application and removal.
  • Suitable for either the left or right knee.

May assist in managing discomfort associated with the following conditions:

  • Knee fractures, injuries and dislocations
  • Moderate to severe knee instability
  • Severe osteoarthritis with instability
  • Immediate post-operative care
  • Pre-operative pain conditions
  • Early cast removal
  • Motion-control problems of the knee
  • Immobilisation during patient transport
  • Apply the brace with the wider side facing upwards, aligned with the knee joint.
  • Wrap it around the knee so the splints sit against the lateral (outer) and dorsal (back) sides, with the patellar opening centred over the kneecap.
  • Secure the hook-and-loop fasteners using the reverse-buckle mechanism, working from the bottom strap upwards for a snug fit.
  • Fasten the broad knee strap last so that it covers the kneecap.
  • Use under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional.
