Easwe M20 Carbon Fibre Mobility Scooter | NDIS | Australia

The Easwe M20 Carbon Fibre Foldable Electric Mobility Scooter is a premium, lightweight 4-wheel scooter designed to help users move independently with comfort, style, and portability. Built on a carbon fibre and aluminium alloy hybrid frame, the M20 weighs just 18kg — lighter than the M10 — while supporting up to 120kg and offering up to approximately 48km range on its airline-approved lithium battery. The M20 upgrades on the M10 with a W-shaped ergonomic seat cushion, 270° flip-up armrests for easier transfers, and the natural corrosion resistance of carbon fibre construction. Like all Easwe mobility scooters, the M20 is handlebar-steered and designed for users who have some walking ability but require motorised assistance for longer distances and daily outings. Supplied by Australian Healthcare Supplies, a registered NDIS provider based in Perth, Western Australia.

- Carbon Fibre & Aluminium Alloy Hybrid Frame — the M20 uses genuine carbon fibre combined with aluminium alloy, designed to deliver superior strength at a lighter weight than standard aluminium-only scooters. Carbon fibre is naturally resistant to rust and corrosion, supporting long-term durability in all weather conditions.
- Ultra-Lightweight at 18kg — at approximately 18kg (excluding battery), the M20 is lighter than the M10, making it easier to lift into a car boot, carry upstairs, and transport independently or with minimal carer assistance.
- W-Shaped Ergonomic Seat Cushion (37.6cm / 14.8") — the M20's contoured W-shaped seat cushion is designed to support the natural curve of the pelvis and reduce pressure on the sit bones, supporting comfort during extended outings compared to a flat seat design.
- 270° Flip-Up Armrests — the armrests are designed to flip up to 270°, rotating out of the way to assist side transfers on and off the scooter without obstruction — particularly helpful for users who transfer from a chair or vehicle seat.
- Airline-Approved Battery — the detachable lithium battery meets international airline carry-on requirements, designed for hassle-free air travel. Confirm the exact AH size and range with the supplier for AU market.
- 200W Brushless Motor — designed to assist smooth, quiet navigation over inclines, gravel, and uneven terrain at a safe and adjustable speed, with IPX5 waterproof motor rating for protection against rain and splashes.
- IP66 Waterproof LCD Controller — the handlebar-mounted LCD controller carries an IP66 waterproof rating and allows precise speed adjustment, power on/off, and real-time battery monitoring with a clear display. Features a built-in safety horn.
- Dual Charging Options — charge the M20 through the port above the motor without removing the battery, or remove the battery and charge it separately — whichever is more convenient.
- LED Safety Lights — designed to improve visibility in low-light conditions, supporting safer use during evening outings or in dimly lit environments.
- Comfort Suspension System — shock-absorbing suspension in both the seat and front wheels is designed to reduce impact on uneven surfaces, supporting comfort during extended outings.
- Comprehensive Safety System — an intelligent electromagnetic brake system, anti-tip rear wheels, and a seat belt are designed to assist user stability and safety during everyday movement.
- Compact Foldable Design — folds quickly for storage at home, loading into a car boot, or transporting as mobility equipment on flights.
The Easwe M20 may assist individuals seeking motorised mobility support in the following situations:
- Reduced walking endurance or stamina due to age, illness, or physical condition
- Users who can walk short distances but need powered assistance for longer outings (shopping, parks, appointments)
- Recovery from lower limb injury or surgery where walking is limited but not fully restricted
- Conditions affecting walking ability (e.g. arthritis, heart or respiratory conditions, MS, Parkinson's)
- Users who need to transfer on and off their mobility device frequently and benefit from flip-up armrests
- Users who prioritise a lightweight, premium carbon fibre scooter for travel and daily use
- Day-to-day independence at home, in the community, or while travelling by air
Note: the M20 is a mobility scooter, not an electric wheelchair. It is steered by handlebars and requires some upper body function and ability to transfer on and off independently or with minimal assistance. Users who require a joystick-controlled wheelchair should consider the Easwe electric wheelchair range instead. We recommend consulting a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, or GP to confirm this model is suitable for your individual needs. NDIS participants should contact us to confirm funding eligibility before purchasing.
- The M20 arrives 95% pre-assembled — remove from packaging and unfold the frame. Attach the tiller (handlebar column) and secure the locking pin as directed in the product manual.
- Insert the battery into the battery compartment and secure the locking mechanism until it clicks firmly.
- Power on using the handlebar controller and verify the battery level, LED lights, and display are functioning correctly.
- Adjust the tiller angle and seat height to suit the user's comfort and height before first use.
- To charge: plug the charger into the port above the motor, or remove the battery and charge it separately.

- Wipe the frame, seat cushion, and tiller with a damp cloth and mild cleaner — avoid abrasive cleaners. Do not submerge in water or use high-pressure cleaning.
- Store in a dry location away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Charge the battery after each use and avoid allowing it to fully deplete before recharging.
- Inspect tyres, brakes, armrests, and tiller connection regularly — a comprehensive safety check is recommended every six months. Contact us if any component requires attention.
- Consult a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, or GP before use to confirm this scooter is appropriate for your condition and individual needs.
- Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 120kg.
- Reduce speed when navigating inclines, ramps, or uneven surfaces — exercise caution at all times.
- Do not submerge in water despite the IPX5 motor and IP66 controller ratings — avoid deep puddles and flooded areas.
- Ensure armrests are fully locked into position before use — do not sit on the scooter with armrests in the flipped-up position.
- Always engage the electromagnetic brake when stationary on a slope or incline.
- Do not modify the scooter or its components — modifications void the warranty and may affect safety.
- Keep children away from the controls when the scooter is powered on.

What is the difference between the M20 and the M10?
Both the M20 and M10 are 4-wheel foldable electric mobility scooters. The M20's key differences are its carbon fibre and aluminium alloy hybrid frame (lighter at 18kg vs the M10's 20kg), its W-shaped ergonomic seat cushion designed for greater comfort during extended use, and its 270° flip-up armrests which make side transfers easier. The M10 uses a standard aluminium frame and comes with two different batteries as standard (10.4AH + 13AH); the M20 uses a single airline-approved battery with an optional dual-battery upgrade. If lightweight premium construction and transfer-friendly armrests are priorities, the M20 is the better choice.
What is the difference between the M20 and an Easwe electric wheelchair?
The M20 is a handlebar-steered mobility scooter designed for users who have some walking ability but need motorised assistance for longer distances. Easwe electric wheelchairs are joystick-controlled and designed for users with more significant lower-body mobility impairment. The M20 is typically more suitable for active seniors and users who transfer independently; an electric wheelchair is better suited to users with more pronounced mobility needs. An occupational therapist can help confirm which type of device is most appropriate.
Can I take the M20 on a plane?
The M20's lithium battery is airline-approved and designed to meet international airline carry-on requirements. We recommend contacting your airline in advance to confirm their specific scooter and battery policies, as requirements can vary by carrier and destination.
Can I use NDIS funding to purchase the M20?
The Easwe M20 may be eligible for NDIS funding under Assistive Technology — Low Cost or Mid Cost, depending on your plan and support needs. A recommendation from an occupational therapist may be required. Australian Healthcare Supplies is a registered NDIS provider. Contact us for assistance with your NDIS order.
