Note: the M20 is a mobility scooter, not an electric wheelchair. It is steered by handlebars and requires some upper body function and ability to transfer on and off independently or with minimal assistance. 1. The M20 arrives 95% pre-assembled — remove from packaging and unfold the frame. Attach the tiller (handlebar column) and secure the locking pin as directed in the product manual.
2. Insert the battery into the battery compartment and secure the locking mechanism until it clicks firmly.
3. Power on using the handlebar controller and verify the battery level, LED lights, and display are functioning correctly.
4. Adjust the tiller angle and seat height to suit the user's comfort and height before first use.
5. To charge: plug the charger into the port above the motor, or remove the battery and charge it separately.

• Always engage the electromagnetic brake when stationary on a slope or incline.

• Keep children away from the controls when the scooter is powered on.

What is the difference between the M20 and the M10?
Both the M20 and M10 are 4-wheel foldable electric mobility scooters. The M20's key differences are its carbon fibre and aluminium alloy hybrid frame (lighter at 18kg vs the M10's 20kg), its W-shaped ergonomic seat cushion designed for greater comfort during extended use, and its 270° flip-up armrests which make side transfers easier. The M10 uses a standard aluminium frame and comes with two different batteries as standard (10.4AH + 13AH); the M20 uses a single airline-approved 12Ah battery with an optional spare-battery upgrade. If lightweight premium construction and transfer-friendly armrests are priorities, the M20 is the better choice.

What is the difference between the M20 and an Easwe electric wheelchair?
The M20 is a handlebar-steered mobility scooter designed for users who have some walking ability but need motorised assistance for longer distances. Easwe electric wheelchairs are joystick-controlled and designed for users with more significant lower-body mobility impairment. The M20 is typically more suitable for active seniors and users who transfer independently; an electric wheelchair is better suited to users with more pronounced mobility needs. An occupational therapist can help confirm which type of device is most appropriate.

Is the 2-battery M20 a different scooter?
No. Both options are the same Easwe M20. The 2-battery option includes a second 12Ah battery so you always have a charged spare on hand. The scooter uses one battery at a time — you swap to the second when the first runs low, extending total range from approximately 24km to 48km.

I ordered the 2-battery option but only one battery arrived with the scooter — is something missing?
No — this is normal. Lithium battery freight rules mean we cannot ship two batteries with the scooter in one consignment, so your second battery is sent separately and may arrive a day or two apart. If it has not arrived within a week of the scooter, please contact us and we will chase the tracking for you.

Can I take the M20 on a plane?
The M20's lithium battery is airline-approved and designed to meet international airline carry-on requirements. We recommend contacting your airline in advance to confirm their specific scooter and battery policies, as requirements can vary by carrier and destination.

Can I use NDIS funding to purchase the M20?
The Easwe M20 may be eligible for NDIS funding under Assistive Technology — Low Cost or Mid Cost, depending on your plan and support needs.
