Tynor Foot Drop Splint D17 Child | Leaf Spring Gait Correction AFO

The Tynor Foot Drop Splint – Child (D-17) is a paediatric leaf-spring ankle-foot orthosis (AFO) designed to manage foot drop in children — where the front of the foot cannot be lifted. The semi-rigid polypropylene shell holds the foot in a neutral, dorsiflexed position to help stop the toes dragging, assist toe clearance during the swing phase of walking, and promote a more natural stepping pattern. Thin and lightweight, it is designed to be worn inside most children's shoes, and the contours can be customised by a clinician for a precise fit. Available for the left or right foot, with a choice of standard (without liner) or padded (with liner) versions.
- Leaf spring action — Spring resilience adds bounce and assists toe clearance through the swing phase, helping improve gait.
- Semi-rigid polypropylene shell — Firm support and stability while holding the foot in a neutral, dorsiflexed position.
- Wearable inside the shoe — Thin, lightweight construction fits discreetly inside most children's footwear.
- Anatomical footplate — Shaped for even weight distribution and comfortable positioning.
- Hook-and-loop reverse-buckle straps — Secure, easy-to-adjust fastening for a snug fit.
- Optional padded liner — The with-liner version adds a soft, hypoallergenic, latex-free foam lining for extra comfort against the skin.
