The Tynor Air Ankle Splint (D-40) is a rigid, air-cushioned ankle immobiliser designed to assist ankle stability by limiting side-to-side (inversion/eversion) movement. A durable polypropylene outer shell delivers a high level of immobilisation, while inflatable PVC air pads on either side mould to the ankle and provide adjustable compression — tailored with the included hand pump — without creating pressure points. A cushiony heel piece and lateral hook-and-loop straps complete a secure, comfortable fit. Fits either ankle. One universal size.

- Anatomical ankle cradle — In-built depressions cradle the ankle's bony prominences for a secure fit.
- Air-bulb nozzle control — Inflate or deflate easily via the air-bulb nozzle to fine-tune compression.
- Adjustable hook-and-loop straps — Lateral straps fasten securely for a snug fit; works on either ankle.

ⓘ Important: This is a Level 5/5 immobilisation splint with inflatable pads. Air-pad pressure, strap tension and duration of use should follow the advice of a qualified healthcare professional — enough to immobilise without restricting blood flow.
Use under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional. Inflate the pads enough to immobilise the ankle without impairing circulation.
- Unfasten the hook-and-loop closures.
- Place the deflated air pads inside the splint shells.
- Rest the foot on the heel piece so the shells sit snugly around the ankle.
- Adjust the splint so the bony prominences of your ankle fit into the corresponding depressions.
- Secure the straps for a snug, comfortable fit — firm but not too tight.
- Use the provided hand pump to inflate the air pads on either side of the ankle.
- To release pressure, deflate the pads using the pin on the air-bulb nozzle.

- Keep the air pads away from sharp objects and excessive heat

- Inflate the pads enough to immobilise the ankle without restricting blood flow
- Discontinue use and seek medical advice if you experience impaired sensation, reduced blood flow, allergic rash or itching, or if pain persists or worsens
- Keep the air pads away from sharp objects and direct or excessive heat
- Do not sit on or place excessive weight (over 10 kg) on the inflated pads, or use them for any unintended purpose
- Consult your doctor before using this device alongside another medical device
- Follow the instructions provided on the box
- Keep out of reach of children
What is the Air Ankle Splint used for?
It immobilises the ankle and provides adjustable air compression to support recovery from sprains, fractures, instability and post-operative care, as directed by a healthcare professional.
How does the air adjustment work?
Inflatable pads on either side are inflated with the included hand pump and released via the air-bulb nozzle, letting you fine-tune compression and fit.

I dont mucb of review on amazon..but as this is related to medical care i should write, i must say this is a must product for any person had ankle sprain -inversion or aversion... use this for supprt and restrict movement of ankle for better healing and helps in walking. It helps in good support, soft lining. This helps me in recovering and supports me during walk.

For rehabilitation this is very good support for ankle only things to improve is that sole should be in that.Presently I am using with shoes and it is totally perfect to meet the needs.

Expected a better ankle support
Gives great support to the ankle and was comfortable even in peaks summer of 45 degrees.Adjustable to allow for a comfortable fit to the form of your ankle.Washed the padded forms easily but soaking it in soapy water and drying, plastic parts are simply wiped down.

My 89 year old mother had a fall & injured her ankle. There was a cract in her ankle bone. Her legs were in plaster for about 2 months. After that doctor advised caution while loading her ankles. So mother started using this ankle support. It is easy to fit and remove. She could walk (using walker) safely. There was no discomfort. She used it for a few months until her ankles were fully healed.

I had a sprain recently and doc at Apollo prescribed this useless thing just making me panic to buy this.. just an Expensive Thing and doesn’t serve purpose.. no comfort and u feel like walking with ur foot tied between 2 sticks.. it was normal sprain which just got healed in 3 days
