Tynor Back Support Belt A36 | Lumbar Support Australia

The Tynor Back Support Belt is a lumbar support belt designed to assist lower back support and postural comfort during daily activity through a combination of four flexible splints, a cushioned back pad, and a double-pull compression mechanism. Unlike belts with posterior-only stays, the A36 features two splints on each side of the spine, designed to conform to the natural lumbar curve and provide bilateral immobilisation support with even pressure distribution across the lower back. The breathable elastic body and adjustable double-pull mechanism are designed for comfortable extended wear, making it suitable for occupational use, daily activity, and general lower back management. Supplied by Australian Healthcare Supplies, a registered NDIS provider based in Perth, Western Australia.
- Four flexible splints — bilateral back support — Two splints on each side of the spine are designed to conform to the natural lumbar contour, providing bilateral support and gentle immobilisation with even pressure distribution — more comprehensive coverage than single posterior-stay designs.
- Cushioned back pad for comfort — Integrated back pad designed to provide comfortable cushioning to the lumbar region during extended wear, reducing localised pressure points during prolonged sitting, standing, or activity.
- Double-pull compression mechanism — Designed to allow firm, adjustable compression to be applied and modified throughout the day without removing the belt, adapting support to different activity levels and comfort needs.
- Breathable elastic body — Lightweight elastic construction designed for adequate ventilation and skin comfort during extended daily wear including in warm conditions.
- Broad hook-and-loop panel for easy fitting — Wide closure panels designed to allow independent application and removal with controlled, consistent compression and easy adjustment throughout the day.
- Designed for extended everyday wear — Combination of breathable fabric, cushioned back pad, and flexible splints designed to balance support and comfort for all-day use across occupational and daily settings.
The Tynor Back Support Belt may assist in managing discomfort associated with the following conditions:
- Lower back pain (lumbago) and lumbosacral muscle strain
- Occupational lower back strain — bending, lifting, prolonged standing, or desk-based work
- Postural discomfort associated with prolonged sitting, driving, or travel
- Lumbar spondylosis and mild degenerative lumbar spine changes
- General lumbar support during daily activity and rehabilitation
- Mild intervertebral disc conditions requiring supportive compression
- Lower back muscle weakness or fatigue requiring structured daily support
Use under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional. If your physiotherapist, GP, or occupational therapist has recommended a lumbar support belt, confirm product code A 36 with your clinician. NDIS participants should contact us to confirm funding eligibility.
- Wear a thin cotton undergarment beneath the belt.
- Wrap the belt around the lower back and abdomen, positioning the back pad and splints centrally over the lumbar spine.
- Fasten the hook-and-loop closure at the front to a comfortable, firm compression.
- Pull the double-pull straps to add additional lumbar compression as required — adjust evenly on both sides.
- Check that breathing and movement feel comfortable and unobstructed. The compression can be further adjusted without removing the belt.
- Remove the belt periodically during rest to allow normal muscular function, as directed by your clinician.

How does the A36 compare to the A04, A05, and A06 in the Tynor range?
See the comparison table below — all four are lumbosacral support belts but with different constructions suited to different needs. The A36 is the everyday-use belt with four bilateral flexible splints and a cushioned back pad. Confirm which is most appropriate for your specific needs with your treating clinician.
Can the compression be adjusted during the day without removing the belt?
Yes — the double-pull mechanism allows compression to be increased or reduced at any time while wearing the belt. This is useful for varying activity levels throughout the day — firmer for physical tasks, eased off during rest periods.
Is it suitable for all-day wear at work?
The A36 is designed with everyday occupational use in mind — the breathable elastic body, cushioned back pad, and flexible splints are designed to balance support and comfort for extended wear. Your clinician can advise on the most appropriate wearing schedule for your individual needs.
