The Tynor PF Night Splint (De-rotation) is a foot and ankle splint designed to hold the foot in gentle dorsiflexion, helping to keep the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon on a sustained, comfortable stretch during rest. A moulded foot casing holds the ankle in a neutral position, while the removable de-rotation bar is designed to help control inward and outward rotation of the foot. With an adjustable double-strap mechanism and a bilateral design that fits either foot, it can be worn as a night splint or as a day support. Supplied by Australian Healthcare Supplies, a registered NDIS provider based in Perth, Western Australia.

May assist in managing discomfort associated with the following conditions:

  • Mild foot drop (during day use, to assist toe clearance)
  • Loosen the straps and place the foot into the moulded casing with the heel seated at the back.
  • Adjust the foot to a comfortable dorsiflexion angle; add the extra pad set if greater dorsiflexion is required.
  • Fasten the hook-and-loop straps for a snug but comfortable fit.
  • Attach the de-rotation bar if leg alignment support is needed.
  • Check that circulation is not restricted; loosen if the foot feels tight or tingly.
  • Wear as directed by your healthcare professional.

  • Hand wash with mild detergent in water below 30°C; do not wring.
  • Close the hook-and-loop fasteners before washing.
  • Dry in the shade on a flat surface.
  • Wipe the plastic parts with a moist, lint-free cloth and mild detergent.
  • Do not dry-clean.
  • Do not iron.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Use under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional.
  • Discontinue use and consult a qualified doctor if you experience impaired sensation, impaired blood flow, allergic rash or itching, or if pain increases or persists.
  • Consult your doctor in the case of concurrent use with any other medical device.
  • Misuse or improper use of the device can lead to adverse effects and reduced performance.
  • Follow the instructions provided in the box carefully.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

What is the PF Night Splint designed to do?
It is designed to hold the foot in gentle dorsiflexion, helping to keep the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon on a comfortable stretch while you rest.

Can I wear it on either foot?
Yes. The splint has a bilateral, ambidextrous design, so it fits either the left or right foot.

Can I use it during the day?
It is primarily designed for night use, but can also be worn as a day support to assist toe clearance. Follow the advice of your healthcare professional.

How do I increase the stretch?
Adjust the double straps to set the angle, and add the included pad set to increase the degree of dorsiflexion. Make any changes gradually and as advised by your healthcare professional.
