• Put the stockings on first thing in the morning, before getting out of bed, when the legs have the least swelling.
• Slide your hand into the stocking to the heel area, then turn it inside out to the heel.
• Broaden the opening and pull it to the heel, then unfold the stocking from heel to knee so the fabric rolls on fabric, not on bare skin.
• Smooth out any wrinkles from the bottom upward with both hands until the stocking sits evenly.
• Knee-high stockings should sit about two fingers below the bend of the knee.
• If you use lotion, let it dry first; a little baby powder or cornflour may help the stocking slide up.
