The Tynor Knee Immobiliser 14" (D13) is a rigid, full-leg brace designed to immobilise and support the knee during rest and recovery. Anatomically contoured aluminium splints on the lateral and posterior sides hold the knee in a slightly bent, functional position, while a broad over-the-patella strap and wrap-around design help provide strong, secure immobilisation. Built from a three-layered PU foam fused fabric for cushioning, it is lightweight, breathable and can be worn on either the left or right leg. Supplied by Australian Healthcare Supplies, a registered NDIS provider based in Perth, Western Australia.
- Anatomical aluminium splints on the lateral and posterior sides, pre-shaped at approximately 165° to hold the knee in around 15° of functional flexion.
- Splint strength resists bending and deformation for durable, strong immobilisation.
- Broad over-the-patella strap designed to enhance complete immobilisation; removable when not required.
- Three-layered laminated PU foam fused fabric for comfortable cushioning with anti-slip properties.
- Wrap-around design with multiple hook-and-loop straps and a reverse-buckle mechanism for a snug, secure fit that is easy to apply and remove.
- Lightweight, breathable and suitable for the left or right knee.
May assist in managing discomfort associated with the following conditions:
- Severe fractures, injuries and dislocations of the knee
- Moderate to severe instability of the knee
- Severe osteoarthritis with instability
- Immediate post-operative care and pre-operative pain conditions
- Early cast removal and motion-control problems of the knee
- Immobilisation for patient transportation
- Apply the brace with the wider side facing upwards, aligning it with the knee joint, so the splints face the lateral (outer) and dorsal (back) sides.
- Ensure the patellar opening is precisely placed over the kneecap.
- Secure the brace using the hook-and-loop fasteners and reverse-buckle mechanism, fastening from the bottom upwards for a snug fit.

- Hand wash with mild detergent in water below 30°C without wringing.
- Dry in shade on a flat surface.
- Do not dry-clean, do not iron and do not bleach.
- Close hook-and-loop fasteners before washing.
- Use this product under the guidance of a qualified doctor or healthcare professional.
- Discontinue use and seek advice if you notice impaired sensation, impaired blood flow, allergy, rash or itching, or if pain increases or persists.
- Consult your doctor in case of concurrent use with any other medical device.
- Misuse or improper use of the device can lead to adverse effects and decreased effectiveness.
- The product is preferably worn over a cotton lining or undergarment. Keep out of reach of children.

Can it be worn on either leg? Yes, the immobiliser is designed to fit both the left and right knee.
Does it hold the knee straight? The splints are pre-shaped to hold the knee in a slightly bent (approximately 15°) functional position rather than fully straight.
Is the patellar strap removable? Yes, the broad over-the-patella strap can be removed when not required.
