Product Description

The Tynor Cervical Traction Kit (Sitting) G 25 is a complete traction apparatus designed to apply controlled traction to the cervical and upper thoracic spine while seated upright. It works by gently stretching the musculature and connective tissue of the neck, helping to ease pressure across the intervertebral joint space so traction therapy can be carried out conveniently at home or in a clinic. The kit assembles from an overdoor pulley, head halter, spreader bar, cord and a custom-fillable weight bag for a ready-to-use system. Supplied by Australian Healthcare Supplies, a registered NDIS provider based in Perth, Western Australia.

  • Complete, ready-to-use kit with all essential attachments in one box.
  • Overdoor pulley made of coated mild steel fits doors 25 mm to 50 mm wide, or hangs on a wall bracket, with three pulleys for smooth force transmission.
  • Anatomic head halter in three-layered PU-bonded fabric with hypoallergenic cotton stockinette and a polymer gel insert for cushioned occiput support with no pressure points.
  • Lightweight yet sturdy cast-aluminium spreader bar holds the two halter cord loops.
  • Smooth-surfaced traction cord woven for strength to minimise frictional loss.
  • Weight bag can be custom filled with water or sand from 1 to 12 kg.

May assist in managing discomfort associated with the following conditions:

  • Cervical spondylitis
  • Cervical disc disease
  • PIVD and IVD herniation
  • Cervical facet syndrome
  • Fractures of the cervical spine
  • Stiff neck muscles and mechanical stress due to poor posture
  • Hang the overdoor pulley on the top of a door, or mount it on a wall using a wall bracket.
  • Unfasten the hook-and-loop side straps and slide the head through the halter.
  • Place the cushioned pad at the back, aligning with the occiput; the front pad sits under the chin.
  • Fasten the hook-and-loop straps for a stable, comfortable fit and trim any excess strap.
  • Hook the two halter straps into the slots of the spreader bar.
  • Connect the spreader bar to the weight bag through the traction cord and overdoor pulley, then use seated upright on a chair.
  • Maintain a slight forward angle of the neck for balanced force distribution.
