The Tynor Knee Immobiliser Child (D44) is a paediatric knee brace designed to immobilise and support a child's injured or post-operated knee in a secure, functional position. Lightweight anatomical aluminium splints on the back and lateral sides hold the knee in a slightly bent (15°) functional position, while the open wrap-around design and broad over-the-patella strap make it easy for a parent or carer to fit and remove. Built from soft, breathable three-layered PU-foam fused fabric, it is designed to stay comfortable during extended wear. Supplied by Australian Healthcare Supplies, a registered NDIS provider based in Perth, Western Australia.

May assist in managing discomfort associated with the following conditions:

- Apply the brace with the wider side facing upwards, aligned with the knee joint.
- Wrap it around the knee so the splints sit on the outer (lateral) and back (dorsal) sides.
- Position the patellar opening directly over the kneecap.
- Fasten the hook-and-loop straps using the reverse-buckle mechanism, working from the bottom upwards for a snug, secure fit.
- Fasten the knee strap over the kneecap.

- Hand wash with a mild detergent in water below 30°C; do not wring.
- Dry flat in the shade.
- Do not dry-clean.
- Do not iron.
- Do not bleach.
- Use this product under the guidance of a qualified doctor.
- Discontinue use and seek advice from a qualified doctor if you notice impaired sensation, impaired blood flow, allergy, rash or itching, or if pain increases or persists.
- Consult your doctor before using this device alongside another medical device.
- Misuse or improper use can lead to adverse effects and reduced effectiveness.
- Preferably worn over a cotton lining or undergarment.
- Follow the instructions provided on the box, and fit and supervise use under adult guidance.

This is the Child size. Measure the mid-thigh circumference about 15 cm (6 in) above the knee and check it falls within 30–37.6 cm (11.8–14.8 in). Refer to the size chart before ordering.

It can be worn on either the left or right knee.
Can my child walk in it?
It holds the knee in a slightly bent functional position for support during recovery. Please follow your treating clinician's advice on weight-bearing and walking.
