Cast Shoe ( Rocker sole) replaces the functions of the normal shoe when the patient is on foot cast. Prevents excessive wear & tear of the cast and reduces the impact on the injured leg. It ensures a high degree of hygiene and improves the gait of the patient on foot cast. The design ensures easy wearing and removal.
The shoe is sold individually, not in pairs.
The cast shoe is specially designed for stable foot & ankle fracture, Achilles, tendon surgery, acute ankle sprains and care, after surgeries for broken toes, bunions, hammer toe, plantar fasciitis, patients with intravenous or lymphatic bandages, walking with plaster casts.

Rocker sole of the cast shoe deloads the ankle joint enhances the ease of walking on foot cast restores the normal gait. It improves the balance of patients on foot cast and helps in early ambulation. It is extremely light in weight, colorful, and aesthetically pleasing.

The upper part of the cast shoe is made from unique Nylon complex mesh fabric which is highly durable. It protects the plaster cast, prevents it from soiling and wetting, It also prevents wear and tear/ mechanical damage to the foot cast.

Sole is made out of sturdy EVA with non-skid properties. The rocker shape ensures a natural gait on foot cast and deloading of the injured ankle in the stance phase of the walk

The plastered foot is placed in the cast shoe.

The front closure hook tab is then fixed on one flap, to ensure equal proportions for both the flaps of the shoe.

The front closure hook tab is then fastened to the other flap of the shoe.
- The ankle strap is then fastened by a reverse buckle mechanism around the leg to a comfortable tightness,
- ◄Caution/ Recommendations

- The length of the cast shoe should be a little longer than the length of the foot.
- Use the cast shoe under the guidance of a qualified doctor.
- Follow the standard instructions for fracture and cast maintenance.
- The cast shoe in no way helps in quick healing of the fractures or early removal of the cast. It only ensures the protection of the cast.
- Remove the cast shoe while on the bed. Wear before stepping out of it.
- The cast shoe can be worn straight on the foot cast without any other aid.
