Product Description

The Tynor Pregnancy Back Support is a maternity support belt designed to assist lower back support and lumbosacral comfort during pregnancy through an advanced double-pull elastic mechanism that delivers firm, adjustable compression to the lumbar region. A bi-lipped front panel is designed to gently cradle the abdomen while avoiding direct pressure on the foetus, and strong flexible back splints are designed to assist neutral lumbosacral alignment throughout daily activity. Monofilament porous elastic provides a lightweight, breathable construction suited to extended wear as the body changes across the stages of pregnancy. Use under the guidance of your obstetrician, midwife, or physiotherapist. Supplied by Australian Healthcare Supplies, a registered NDIS provider based in Perth, Western Australia.

  • Double-pull elastic mechanism at the back — Designed to allow firm, adjustable compression specifically to the lumbosacral region — the area most commonly associated with lower back discomfort during pregnancy — independent of the abdominal panels.
  • Bi-lipped front panel — designed to avoid foetal pressure — The two-section front panel design is designed to support and cradle the abdomen while specifically avoiding direct pressure on the foetus, with care taken during application to ensure panels sit comfortably without compression.
  • Flexible back splints for lumbosacral support — Strong but flexible stays integrated into the back panel are designed to assist maintenance of the lumbosacral region in a neutral position, supporting postural comfort during prolonged standing, sitting, and activity.
  • Monofilament porous elastic construction — Lightweight, highly porous monofilament stripped elastic designed for strong, comfortable compression with high breathability — important for extended daily wear during pregnancy.
  • Broad hook-and-loop panel for adjustable fit — Wide closure panels designed to allow the belt to be progressively adjusted throughout pregnancy as the waist changes, with controlled compression and easy independent application and removal.
  • Anatomically streamlined shape — Designed to conform to the natural waist contour, providing effective support with an inconspicuous profile suitable for wear under standard clothing.

The Tynor Pregnancy Back Support may assist in managing discomfort associated with the following conditions during pregnancy:

  • Low back pain associated with pregnancy — lumbosacral discomfort during the second and third trimesters
  • Postural discomfort and fatigue associated with centre-of-gravity changes during pregnancy
  • Lower back strain during prolonged work, standing, or travel
  • Weakened abdominal muscle tone requiring additional lumbosacral support
  • General lumbar and abdominal support during daily activity throughout pregnancy

Use only under the guidance of your obstetrician, midwife, or physiotherapist. Confirm that use of an abdominal and lumbar support belt is appropriate for your specific pregnancy, gestation, and individual circumstances before wearing. NDIS participants should contact us to confirm funding eligibility.

  1. Wear a comfortable cotton undergarment before applying the belt — do not apply directly to bare skin.
  2. Centre the back splint panel so the bottom edge aligns with the base of the spine.
  3. Take the broader lower elastic panel to the front toward the bottom of the abdomen and fasten the hook-and-loop closure to a comfortable compression — ensure this panel sits below the bump without pressing on the foetus.
  4. Take the narrower upper elastic panel to the front toward the top of the abdomen and fasten similarly — again ensuring no pressure is applied to the foetus.
  5. Pull the double-pull mechanism straps through the back buckle to add firm lumbosacral compression as required.
  6. Check that all panels feel supportive but not constrictive, and that no pressure is being exerted on the abdomen at any point. Adjust as needed.
  7. Wearing duration as directed by your obstetrician, midwife, or physiotherapist.
  • 1 × Tynor Pregnancy Back Support A20 (size as selected)
  • Product instruction insert
  • Close hook-and-loop closures before washing
  • Hand wash only in mild detergent, water below 30°C — do not wring
  • Dry flat in shade on a flat surface
  • Do not dry-clean, iron, or bleach
  • Use only under the guidance of your obstetrician, midwife, or physiotherapist — confirm suitability for your individual pregnancy before wearing
  • Take care during application to ensure the front panels do not exert any pressure on the foetus — check and adjust after every application
  • Discontinue use immediately and contact your healthcare provider if you experience abdominal pain, any discomfort, impaired sensation, reduced blood flow, skin rash, or itching
  • Do not wear so tightly as to cause any abdominal pressure, constriction, or breathing restriction
  • Do not wear during sleep unless specifically directed by your treating clinician
  • Consult your doctor before use if you have any pregnancy complications, including placenta praevia, multiple pregnancy, or any high-risk pregnancy condition
  • Follow the instructions in the product box carefully
  • Keep out of reach of children

What is the difference between the A20 and the A35 Pregnancy Belt?
Both are maternity support belts from Tynor. The A20 Pregnancy Back Support features a double-pull mechanism at the back for firm, targeted lumbosacral compression and a bi-lipped front panel — making it better suited to women whose primary need is lower back support. The A35 Pregnancy Belt uses an oblique abdominal panel design with a lateral closing system, making it better suited for abdominal lift and belly support. Confirm which is appropriate for your individual needs with your obstetrician, midwife, or physiotherapist.

How do I ensure the belt does not press on the baby?
The bi-lipped front panel design is specifically designed to cradle and support the abdomen without applying direct pressure to the foetus. When applying, ensure both front panels sit comfortably under and around the bump without pressing onto the abdomen. If you feel any pressure on the abdomen at any point, loosen or remove the belt immediately and consult your healthcare provider.

From which stage of pregnancy can I wear this?
The belt is generally suitable from the second trimester onward when lower back discomfort associated with the growing abdomen typically begins. The appropriate timing for any individual pregnancy should be confirmed with your obstetrician or midwife before use.
